简介 :
俗名錢鰻、薯鰻、虎鰻。棲息於礁區、近海沿岸，深度10-40公尺，無毒性，可食用，無觀賞價值，是經濟性魚類，分布於印度至太平洋，產於臺灣南部，最大體長26 cm，模式種產於馬紹爾群島。
形態特徵 :
體延長而呈圓柱狀，尾部側扁。吻短鈍；齒強大錐狀；上137-147。體一致鮮黃色，保存於酒精後，黃色
棲所生態 :
主要棲息於位於拂浪區內的珊瑚、岩礁的洞穴及隙縫中。以魚類為主食，偶食甲殼類。
地理分布 :
分布於印度-太平洋區，西起東非，東至馬貴斯群島，北至日本，南至澳洲等海域。臺灣分布於南部海域。
